Chitchat with Charmaine” was created by Amber Charmaine Griffin, who has spent over 10 years in the fashion industry. For a long time, I lived by the belief that models are meant to be seen and not heard. However, I’ve always had a desire to start a podcast and now that I have, I have not looked back. “Chitchat with Charmaine” covers a variety of topics, including relationships, current events, fashion, and the ups and downs of everyday life. Expect unfiltered conversations. Let’s chat!

Amber Griffin was born in Houston, Texas, and is the middle child in her family. Some of her peers teased her for being tall and thin throughout her school years. However, she overcame her insecurities by working hard and striving toward her dreams. After high school, she felt uncertain about which career path to pursue; her options included broadcasting, hairstyling, and fashion design. Although briefly attending beauty school, she ultimately enrolled at the University of Houston to study fashion design.

While at university, she traveled to New York and was scouted by an Italian modeling agent. Following this, Amber dropped out of college and moved to Italy, where she worked as a model across Europe for three years. After her modeling career in Europe, she returned to Houston and signed with a local modeling agency. However, after just one year in Houston, Amber moved to Los Angeles to further her modeling career.

After living in Los Angeles for three years, she relocated to Dallas, where she now resides with her husband of 13 years.

In 2017, Amber created a program to help young girls build confidence through modeling techniques. This initiative has always been her passion. I believe that every young girl should have access to a mentor.

Model Prep provided a safe space for girls ages 11 to 17 for years. I look forward to bringing back Model Prep, as it is a positive force for young girls.

Amber is working on several projects and is excited to present them to the public soon.
